Dame Janet Community Primary School was built in 1968 when the children moved from the present Dame Janet Community Junior School which had become overcrowded.
There are strong links with the Junior School and there are good transition arrangements. The school has three year groups with three classes in each. There is a large hall in which the children have their lunch, assembly and physical education lessons.
The school is situated in large attractive grounds, with two good sized playgrounds. The Nursery is housed in a separate building adjacent to the school.
